With the freezing cold temperatures that we’ve been experiencing on the east coast, I am completely over winter and already dreaming of spring (and a relaxing getaway). I came across Indulgence Divine recently and fell in love with it. Indulgence Divine is a boutique luxury accommodation located in Malta, an island in the Mediterranean Sea. The boutique was restored from a 450 year old house and it mixes gorgeous contemporary and stylish design while maintaining the historic character of the home. Something I really love to do when I’m on vacation is to find spots where I can get a taste of the culture and slow things down a little.
The boutiques owners also kept sustainability in mind and equipped the boutique with solar water heating, insulation, and rain-water harvesting.Â

I am definitely drawn to the colors of Latin America.  The vibrant reds, blues, yellows, oranges, etc. all just make me happy.  So, imagine my delight when I came across LAMA (Latin America in the Modern Age) Designs, a colorful online boutique carrying home decor and goods created by Latin American artisans throughout the world and Latino artists in the US. When I traveled to Latin America a few years ago, I LOVED it, and one thing that stood out to me was the craft that had been developed and passed down through generations.  The kind of hand crafting that you can’t just find anywhere.  LAMA creator, Christine, has hand picked items from her travels and made them available to all of us  :)

I can’t wait ’til I get my pretty new necklace in the mail!! I came across Mirror Mirror a few weeks ago while perusing Decor8, and I noticed that the writers of the Mirror Mirror blog have a boutique (I love boutiques). Check it out. They have some of the cutest and most unique things for sale, which are hand made by extremely talented up-and-coming designers in London and abroad. The owners of Mirror Mirror were so great to shop with too. When I originally inquired about the necklace, the designer was still working on them, so I couldn’t get one right away. Paola Thomas (owner of mirror mirror) and Diane Aston James kept me up to date with details on when the necklace would be finished and then emailed me early this morning to let me know it was ready. Talk about a personal shopping experience! I love finding shops that have such special items and great people
