I have to say that denim is my favorite thing to wear. When we were told that our new SVP had changed the dress code to “business casual” there were all kinds of petitions, protests, and meetings. Some managers just said forget that, wear what you want! I know you may be saying what’s the big deal. Well, where I work, we usually only see each other throughout the day. Many of us work in areas with no windows AT ALL, while many others work in freezing cold labs all day. Try spending a long work day in a 50 degree lab, wearing tights, heels, and a binding jacket lol So, most “Techies” prefer a casual and comfortable work environment. The casual environment was actually the deciding factor for many of the people I have worked with at my company. So, seeing as how I have about two days worth of “business casual” attire, I was pissed!
Ever since I can remember, I have rocked my denim. Skirts, pants, shorts, dresses, I love them all! There are so many to chose from, I’m like a kid in a candy shop
